Today is the day we celebrate Tess!! She is one of our wonderfully talented floral designers and part of our set up crew. About three years ago, Tess joined our team, when we put a call out for creatives! She felt a job in the floral and event industry might be something new and interesting for her.
Tess had previously worked in womenâs fashion as a retail buyer, as a transcriber for medical reports and documents, and for a brief period, in an assisted living care facility. Even with all of those jobs, she emphatically says âmy most important work was raising our childrenâ. Tess has been happily married to her husband for 40 years. Together theyâve raised three kids and now six wonderful grandchildren that they spend a lot of their time with. Family is the most important thing to Tess!
Tess says that designing is truly one of her favorite work experiences. Her beautiful detailed, precise work shows it. She makes picture perfect wrist corsages, and stunning centerpieces. Her eye for color and movement is nothing short of genius. We feel so fortunate to have her patience, care and enthusiasm as part of our dynamic each week. The team makes the work experience-and Tess is such an integral part of ours. And while Tess loves the day-to-day design time in the studio, one of her favorite parts of the whole experience is when the client gets to see the final design. Seeing the bride’s face when she first sees her bouquet, Tess says, is priceless. We couldnât agree more.
Tess is fabulous at sending along little glimpses of the bride’s holding their bouquet just as they walk down the aisle. Itâs a source of so much delight for all of us. Just as working alongside Tess herself is!
