Weddings · A Modern Twist on a Rustic Wedding This past September, Kalyn and Dan wedded amongst the deep greens of Promise Ridge in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The couple chose soft pastels to complement the natural beauty of the venue, the bridesmaids’ sage colored dresses, and the groomsmen’s charcoal suits. The celebrated blooms in these bouquets were the highly coveted cafe au lait and sweet Nathalie dahlias from local grower (gardens in Bethlehem and Quakertown), Flores Temporis. Other beauties in these bouquets were mountain mint, eucalyptus, blooming sedum and even garlic flower. We especially love the more minimal approach to the bridesmaids bouquets, featuring a prominent dahlia and a few accent flowers. And the boutonnières? Subtle sprigs of mixed greenery, tying into the greenery from the bridal and bridesmaids florals. At the reception, guests gathered around a table that held modern gold and glass lanterns surrounded by arrangements of greenery–gunnii, seeded, and silver dollar eucalyptus–and more pastel dahlias. To complete the motif, the cake–baked and decorated by Erika Urso of Love Bites by Erika–included the same soft colored florals and greenery with red apples for a slight pop of color and an ode to the coming fall season. We wish Kayln and Dan joyous years to come. We are, as always, incredibly grateful to be part of such a meaningful and memorable wedding day. || Photographer: Chrissy Marie Photography || Venue: Promise Ridge || Cake: Erika Urso of Love Bites by Erika ||
